Starting Tuesday January 17th, and running through Tuesday March 21st (8 week session) – Tai Chi for Health and Wellness, sponsored by Age Well, continues. If you have completed the beginner Standing Tai Chi class, then the next step is Tai Chi Plus (for those 50+). This class will be held at DRML on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, from 9-10 a.m. Seated Tai Chi class is a starter level course, offered from 10-11 a.m. and is for older adults interested in improving or maintaining strength, balance, agility and flexibility while increasing pain-free range of motion for persons with inflammatory joint conditions. The combined slow, continuous movement, deep breathing techniques, positive visualization and mindfulness exercises reduce stress and help maintain an overall sense of well-being.
Tai Chi information update – Registration for the Tai Chi classes now takes place at DRML. Classes are offered at no charge to adults 50+, but you must register. Please call 899-4962 or stop in to register.
