Hungrytown (Rebecca Hall and Ken Anderson) once again bring their remarkable musical talent to launch this season of concerts. Their original music is the best of the folk revival, Appalachian and early English musical styles, often compared to Pentangle, Fairport Convention or Steeleye Span. Rebecca’s soaring vocals described as “as ethereal as mist on the moors”. This in combination with the perfect counterpoint of Ken’s elegant instrumentation and harmonies match the subtlety of their spectacular songwriting.
“Rebecca Hall’s songs are uncannily like the timeless traditional songs that inspire her. Indeed, Hall’s debut brings to mind recordings of the late-’50s and early-’60s, with its spare, heart-felt simplicity.”

A reverence for the music of our collective past, tempered by a keen modern sensibility and a gift for heartfelt storytelling. The music simply transcends any particular time or place.” – Dan Bolles
