Museum & Park Passes

Jericho and Underhill residents with a current Deborah Rawson Library card may borrow day passes for all of the destinations listed below. Jericho Town Library patrons with a current library card may borrow passes, except for those that have been donated by the Friends of Deborah Rawson Memorial Library. None of the passes are available to other homecard patrons.

Passes are loaned for 1 to 3 days, first come/first confirmed by phone on the day you would like to borrow the pass. Passes may not be renewed. Late return of a pass will result in a late fee of $5 per day.  If a pass is lost, the borrowing patron will pay the replacement cost of a new membership.

americanprecisionThe American Precision Museum
Free admission for one family.
The American Precision Museum preserves the heritage of the mechanical arts, celebrates the ingenuity of our mechanical forebears, and explores the effects of their work on our everyday lives. Housed in the original Robbins & Lawrence Armory, the museum now holds the largest collection of historically significant machine tools in the nation. 

Billings Farm & Museum
Available to DRML cardholders only.
Free general admission for up to four people, ages 3 and up. Children age 2 and under are always free. Three-day loan period. This pass is not valid for fee-based programs or other member discounts.
The Billings Farm & Museum is “growing a culture of care and connection to land, food, and community through immersive experiences and shared stories.”  An independent, non-profit organization, it was established in 1983 by Laurance and Mary Rockefeller.

BirdsofvtBirds of Vermont Museum
One free admission with each paid admission. One day loan period.
A private, non-profit organization, the museum features more than 500 wood-carved birds, representing 259 species. Here, natural history meets art. Discover birds in the wild, from the windows, and in wood — the life-like carvings won’t fly away. Explore forest trails and a walk-in treehouse, or picnic near the pollinator gardens or the pond. Immerse yourself in special exhibits from science to art.

Craftsbury Chamber Players
One free concert admission. One day loan period. 
The Craftsbury Chamber Players is a partnership of musicians and community dedicated to making live chamber music an enduring part of our culture. Founded in 1966, the group of world-class musicians perform masterworks and lesser known chamber music gems during the summer.

Reduced price admission of $7 per-person, for up to two adults and two youth. One day loan period.
ECHO inspires and engages families in the joy of scientific discovery, the wonder of nature, and the care of Lake Champlain.

Education Enrichment for Everyone Vermont (EEE) is a lifelong learning organization presenting a series of interesting and diverse lectures each fall and spring.

 

Ethan Allen Homestead MuseumEthan Allen Homestead

Free museum admission for a group of up to 5 people. One day loan period.

Just north of downtown Burlington, the Ethan Allen Homestead marks the last residence of Ethan Allen, leader in the American Revolution and key founder of Vermont. In addition to the historic 1785 Allen house, the museum operates as a cultural center celebrating the history of all who have called the Winooski intervale home over the centuries.  Ethan Allen Homestead Park (where the Museum is located) is owned and operated by the Winooski Valley Park District. The park grounds are free and open to the public year-round from dawn to dusk.

Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium
Available to DRML cardholders only.
Admission for one family to the museum and regular presentations in the Lyman Spitzer Jr. Planetarium. Discounts on public programs. Three day pass.

The Fairbanks Museum features a dazzling array of animals and artifacts, dolls and tools, shells and fossils, and much more. Take a trip through the cosmos in Vermont’s only public planetarium. The museum hosts a full calendar of events, workshops, lectures, and field programs

The Fleming Museum of Art at the University of Vermont (UVM) features rotating exhibitions, community events and programs, and more than 24,000 art and cultural heritage objects within its collections. The museum is closed for UVM’s Summer Recess and will reopen to the public on September 3, 2024. Admission is free, thanks in part to the generous support by the 1675 Foundation.

  Hildene: The Lincoln Family Home 

Available to DRML cardholders only.
Free admission for one adult and two children age 16 and under. Children age 5 and under have free admission. Three day pass.

“His father was born in a log cabin and called from the humblest rank in life to preside over our nation during the most momentous period of its history. One generation later, Robert Todd Lincoln, the only child of Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln to survive to adulthood, became chairman of the Pullman Company, the largest manufacturing corporation at the turn of the 20th century. He built his Georgian Revival mansion in 1905 in the scenic village of Manchester, Vermont. It became home to only Lincoln descendants until 1975, longer than any other Lincoln residence.”

Rokeby Museum
Available to DRML cardholders only.
Free admission for one adult and one child. Reduced admission for up to four others at $5/adult, $2.50/child. One day loan period.
Rokeby Museum presents a nationally significant Underground Railroad story. Visitors will explore the history of four generations of the Robinson family, who called this site home from 1793 to 1961. Immerse yourself in the family’s history as abolitionists, artists, and farmers. The site includes trails, nine historic buildings to explore, and rotating exhibitions.

ShelburneFarmsShelburne Farms
Admission is free (donations are welcome) for the walking trails and children’s farmyard.  The pass provides a 10 percent discount in the store. One day loan period.
Shelburne Farms is a nonprofit education center for sustainability, a 1,400-acre working farm, and National Historic Landmark on the shores of Lake Champlain.

Half-price admission two adults and up to four children age 17 and under.  Three day loan period. You must bring your current library card with the pass.

Vermont Granite Museum
Available to DRML cardholders only.
Free admission for two adults and all accompanying children age 17 and under. One day loan period.
“Located within an authentic turn-of-the-century granite manufacturing plant in Barre, the museum’s mission is to create stimulating, interactive environments for learning about the geology, technology, history, and art of Vermont’s unique granite heritage art, industry, capabilities and cultural heritage.”

Free admission for one family. Three day loan period.

Vermont’s state-owned historic sites encourage the discovery and appreciation of the state’s rich heritage. Most of the sites include permanent exhibitions that interpret their unique history, and regularly changing displays that focus on specialized subjects.

Donated through a collaboration between the Vermont Department of Libraries and the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation.

Vermont History Museum
Free admission for one family Three day loan period. 
The Vermont History Museum, located in the Pavilion Building in downtown Montpelier, showcases the Vermont Historical Society’s collections through its exhibits and educational programming. The museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. It is closed on state and federal holidays.

879Vermont State Parks
Free admission for one family or up to eight people in one vehicle to any state park with a day use area. Three day loan period.

Enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, boating, fishing, or a picnic. 

Donated through a collaboration between the Vermont Department of Libraries and the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation.

Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) Nature Center
Available to DRML cardholders only.
Reduced admission of $10 a person for up to four people. Children age 3 and younger are free. Three day loan period.
 The VINS Nature Center includes raptor enclosures, live-bird programs, a songbird aviary, an adventure playscape, nature trails, and more.
