Human/Bear Conflict Presentation
Tuesday, August 25th at 6:30 p.m.
Robert Acabbo, Wildlife Biologist with the USDA Wildlife Services and project leader for the Human Wildlife Conflict Program in Vermont , will lead a presentation and discussion about Vermont’s black bears and what individuals and communities can do to better share Jericho with these curious and powerful animals. He will discuss bear biology, ecology, the factors that bring bears too close to our homes, and what we can do to prevent future conflicts with bears. Robert will be presenting on identifying bear attractants, securing attractants, and keeping bears wild. He will also discuss USDA Wildlife Services’ role in combating human wildlife conflicts and what the program entails.
