Jumping Worms in the Home Garden

Join the UVM Master Gardeners for a presentation on what Jumping Worms are. This workshop will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 10 AM inside the Deborah Rawson Memorial Library. Jumping worms are a group of invasive earthworm species that are established in Vermont and can be easily spread. In this workshop, you will obtain practical information on ways to identify, prevent and manage jumping worms in your home garden.

This presentation will be followed up by a “hands on” outdoor workshop on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 10 AM. We will use different techniques to search for jumping worms and will practice distinguishing between jumping worms and other worms.
