Spooky Media Contest – opens 10/1. Submissions close 10/27.
For our 4th annual scary story contest, we’re switching it up! We are accepting your most terrifying stories, art, animations, or music from creators 18 and under.
Terrify the DRML librarians with your unique takes on mayhem, horror and mystery! Submit your spooky media for a chance to win a yummy prize pack from Snowflake Chocolates, and join us Saturday, the 28th at 7pm to share them with each other!
Requirements:
- Stories should be 2 pages or fewer typed, or 4 pages handwritten. Please, no weapons used in the story. Illustrations aren’t required, but if you want to include them go for it!
- Animations and music should be one and a half (1.5) minutes or less.
- Art should be copy paper sized or smaller
Judging Criteria: Your librarians will judge based on creativity, originality and hair-raisingness of entry. Illustrations, punctuation and grammar are not included in judging criteria.
How to enter:
- Email your story in a Word/Google doc or PDF to youth_librarian@drml.org OR print your story and drop it off at the library with your contact information.
- Email your animation or music to youth_librarian@drml.org
- Drop off your art at the library or send a picture of it to youth_librarian@drml.org
