A community wastewater system may not sound exciting—but it could be one of the most important investments Jericho makes for its future.

Join Transition Town Jericho to discover how a small, community-based wastewater system could unlock new opportunities for one of Jericho’s designated Village Centers. This important first step could help make it possible to:

• Provide more housing choices for people of all ages and incomes
• Create a more walk-able village center
• Support local businesses and services
• Protect our streams, soils, and natural environment
• Allow thoughtfully planned, clustered development that individual septic systems simply cannot support

The Town of Jericho is exploring what it would take to build a small, soil-based community wastewater system—an approach that is both practical and environmentally responsible.

Peter Booth, a member of the Jericho Wastewater Task Force, will share why the task force was created, what has been learned so far, how a community wastewater system works, and why it could play such an important role in Jericho’s future. Whether you’re a homeowner, business owner, resident, or simply curious about the future of Jericho, you’ll leave with a better understanding of why this project matters.

A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation, giving everyone an opportunity to ask questions and share ideas.

RSVPs are appreciated at TTJericho.VT@gmail.com, but please don’t hesitate to come if you decide at the last minute.

Light refreshments will be served.

Be part of the conversation. Learn how one investment today can help create a vibrant Village with more housing, thriving local businesses, and a stronger, more sustainable community for generations to come.
