    The Alex Awards are given to ten books written for adults that have special appeal to young adults, ages 12 through 18.

    The Coretta Scott King Book Awards annually recognize outstanding books for young adults and children by African American authors and illustrators that reflect the African American experience.

  • The Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) 2024 Book Award Winners
    Books are listed by category, including Teen Fiction, Teen Nonfiction, Young Adult Audiobook, Graphic Novel, and many more.

    This list was compiled by the Vermont NEA.
  • Printz Award
    The Michael L. Printz Award annually honors the best book written for teens, based entirely on its literary merit. In addition, the Printz Committee names up to four honor books, which also represent the best writing in young adult literature.
  • Vermont Golden Dome Book Award
    Chosen by Vermont students in grades 4 to 8.

    Awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.
